Privacy policy
Plain-English version: we only collect what you choose to send us — through the contact form, a call booking or the free site scanner. We never sell it, there are no trackers on this site, and you can ask to see or delete what we hold at any time. Effective October 27, 2026.
Who we are and what this covers
Vetfluence designs and builds websites for U.S. veterinary clinics. This policy covers vetfluence.com: people who visit it, people who contact us or book a call, and people who use the free site scanner on the checklist page.
It does not cover the websites we build for clinics. Information a pet owner sends through a clinic's website — an appointment request, a pet's details — belongs to that clinic and is covered by the clinic's own privacy policy. When we build or look after a clinic's site, we handle that information only as the clinic instructs, and only for that job.
What we collect, and when
When you send a message. Your first and last name, email address, phone number and clinic name if you give them, and what you write.
When you book a call. The same contact details, the date and time you pick, and anything you tell us about your clinic.
When you use the site scanner. The website address you enter. If you unlock the full report, your email address and your yes-or-no answers to its two questions. The scan itself only reads the public pages of the website you entered, plus Google's public speed test of it — the same things anyone can see in a browser.
Automatically. Like almost every website, our host keeps standard server logs — IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — for security and troubleshooting. To stop the scanner being abused, it keeps a scrambled, one-way version of your IP address (a hash) for no more than a day.
We don't take payments through this site, and we don't ask for sensitive information. Please don't send pet medical records, passwords or website logins through the forms — if we need access to something, we'll arrange it with you directly.
How we use it
To reply to your message, prepare for and hold the call you booked, send you your scan report and follow up about it, and — if you hire us — to quote and deliver the work. We also use it to keep the site secure and free of spam, and where the law requires us to.
Follow-up emails are about what you asked for. There is no newsletter. If we ever email you about our services, you can stop it with a one-line reply and we'll honor that straight away.
What we don't do
We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't share it for advertising. There are no advertising trackers, analytics, marketing pixels or session recordings on this site. We don't buy contact lists, and we don't use your information to train AI models. If any of this ever changes, this page will be updated before it does — not after.
Who else handles it
A few companies handle information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:
Hostinger hosts this website, stores call bookings and scanner requests, and keeps the server logs described above.
Google runs our email inbox (Gmail), so messages, bookings and scan requests arrive there. The scanner also sends the website address you entered — never your email — to Google's PageSpeed Insights to measure how fast that site loads.
Anthropic, only if we switch on the scanner's AI photo check: a screenshot of the public homepage being scanned is sent to Anthropic's Claude to judge whether its main photo is stock. Your email address is never sent.
This site loads no embedded content from other companies — even its fonts are served from our own server. Links to Instagram and to professional associations take you to their sites, where their own policies apply.
We would only disclose information otherwise if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of selling or merging the business — in which case this policy would still apply to it.
How long we keep it
Scanner results: the cached copy of a scan is deleted within 24 hours, and the scrambled IP record within a day.
Messages, call bookings and scanner leads: up to 24 months after our last contact with you, then deleted. If you become a client, for the length of the work and as long as business and tax records have to be kept.
Server logs: kept by Hostinger for a limited period under its own settings.
You can ask us to delete anything sooner — see "Your choices and rights" below.
Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. It saves a few small settings in your own browser, which never leave your device: your Day or Evening theme, the boxes you tick on the checklist, and whether you've already seen the logo animation and the evening note (those two clear when you close the tab). The site also keeps an offline copy of its pages so it still opens on a weak signal. You can clear all of this at any time in your browser's settings.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We don't track visitors across other websites, and we don't allow any third party to collect information about your activity on this site over time. So the site behaves exactly the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal — there is nothing for it to switch off.
Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, send you a copy, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email contact.vetfluence@gmail.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. To protect you, we may ask you to confirm the request from the same email address we have on file. We reply within 30 days, or within the time your state's law allows if that is longer, and we'll tell you if we need more time and why. Asking costs nothing and never changes how we treat you. Someone you authorize can also ask on your behalf.
California, Virginia, Colorado, Texas and other states give their residents privacy rights by law. We honor the same requests for everyone, whether or not those laws apply to a business our size.
How we protect it
The whole site runs over HTTPS with strict browser security settings, collects as little as it can, and keeps the scanner's records out of public reach. Only the people who need it for the work can access what you send. No system is perfectly secure, but if something ever went wrong with information you gave us, we would tell you as the law requires.
Children
This site is for clinic owners and staff. It is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and we'll delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
We work with U.S. veterinary clinics, and the services we use process information in the United States and wherever those providers operate. If you are in the UK or the European Union, we use your information because you asked us to (to answer you or send your report) or for our legitimate interest in running and protecting this site. You have the rights described above, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If we ever change how your information is used in a way that matters — adding analytics, for example — this page will say so before the change happens.

Ask anything at contact.vetfluence@gmail.com. If something on this page is unclear, that's on us to fix, not you to decode.
